Got some Eagle pouches in a few days ago that had a “familiar” design. While we all know that Eagle & LBT borrow from each other, such direct swaps usually don’t occur. On the left is the LBT-2586 series MBITR radio pouch. The right side is the Eagle version. Aside from a few small differences, they are identical. The snaps are on opposite ends, different webbing used for the MOLLE straps, but otherwise very close. Check out the pictures below:
Patagonia AOR1 Combat Pants
First pair we have seen, these are very similar to the Crye pants with a few key differences. There is a cutout for Crye style knee pads, but there is no elastic around the knee as in the Crye Pants. The elastic is included in the back along the waist line. Velcro used is the same printed quiet loop as seen in the combat shirt. See the pictures for more information.
Patagonia Combat Shirts in AOR1 & AOR2
Just a couple neat pictures of the new features of the Patagonia Combat Shirts in AOR1 and AOR2. The velcro on these pieces is printed in AOR pile. It is present both on the arm pockets and on the wrist closures. This shirt was spotted in a picture, as shown below. Awesome new offerings!

Ferro Concepts IOTV Chest Rig Review
When I went overseas, we were initially promised the TAP system by supply. Last minute it was relayed that the budget for those vests had been spent elsewhere and we were on our own. To the rescue came Ferro Concepts. I got them the request, and they pumped out the prototype. Had it shipped from Canada to the US for free since I am military, then forwarded overseas to me in record time.
The rig was based on designs I had seen around, but I had a few requirements that made those pieces unusable. It needed to be in ACU, attach seamlessly with the Gen II IOTV vest, and allow me to use my own pouches instead of integrated kangaroo style or sewn on solutions. I use a pair of stacked LBT Triple Shingle pouches, and it needed to be able to hold those 6 mags plus an IFAK without issue. Ferro added the ability to quick detach as well as a zippered back for storage of maps, blood chits, and other miscellaneous gear. Being 10 rows wide and 3 high, it allowed for the 6 rows eaten up by the mag pouches, the 2 by IFAK, and enough left over to us an Eagle MACE pouch for storage of a secondary CAT tourniquet. Primarily being a gunner on convoys, I needed something that I could keep in the turret with me but not necessarily wear. You like to stay as narrow as possible so that in the case of vehicle rollover you have the best possible chance of hitting the deck, and not being tossed outside of the turret. With the quick detach buckles, it was easy to take the size and weight of my chest rig off and set it aside. I could then easily focus on my crew serve M240B.
Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with the rig. It held up beautifully over 7 months of use and abuse, 100′s of miles of convoys, and general beatings. Not even a loose stitch at the end of it all. I won’t hesitate to go back for more custom work in a pinch. Next time, I’ll just remember to order a few more up front to quell the requests from fellow soldiers that want one for themselves!
Crye AOR1 Pouches are Back!
When I say back, I just mean that they are again available for sale on eBay. Click HERE or on the image below. I have had quite a few of you message me about these pouches so here you go. This is all I have left! Once these are gone, you won’t be finding anymore from me. It is important to note that the SR25 pouch will NOT fit 2x M4 magazines. You either need to run them as 1x M4 magazines or you can run them with something like an SR25 or SCAR-H. Other then that, everything is good to go. Keep your eyes peeled, more auctions to come.
